CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – Ron Sanchez, UVA basketball’s interim head coach, is out as the program’s whole-time chief.
According to a UVA Athletics information release, Athletics Director Carla Williams introduced the decision Wednesday, March 12.
“I'm grateful to Coach Sanchez for accepting this job throughout such a important time for the program,” Williams claimed, according to the information launch. “Ron and the personnel presented fantastic security, direction and support for your youthful Adult males on the team and we are thankful for his commitment to UVA and also the values which can be foundational to Virginia men’s basketball.”
